'RICH AND HOT SOUND WITH A ESTHETIC DESIGN'
Strengths:
Hot and rich sound. Very balanced bass, mid and highs.
Two separate antenna input. Wide/narrow. Remote control unit is independent from the system.
Weaknesses:
Price is higher then the tuner value. Inside is almost empty. One little toroidal transformator and one little board. New trents in tuner technology tents to use integrated chips. So they don't need space.
Overall:
I have Sansui TU-717. NAD's sound is very similar to its. Bass is a litle bit more tight. Because of Sansui's tuby sound mids are more prominent but NAD S400 more balanced.
I prefer and enjoy to listen NAD S400.
