| 'SIMPLY A GREAT RECEIVER. ' | | Strengths: Quality of sound; 7.1 output; connectivity options; quality of build; easy set-up through supplied mic.; video up-conversion to component; on-screen display ability; ..... I could go on and on. | | Weaknesses: Absolutely none so far. | | Overall: The (various) reviews suggest buying the "budget" Denon AVR2105. Similar specs, but this 2805 has many of the "higher-quality" parts of it's 3805 stablemate. So after some research, when I saw it for about £200 more than the 2105 I thought "why not?". I've owned Sherwood and Sony receivers, and this beats them hands-down! Absolutely FANTASTIC in every respect. Go buy one. |

| 'WOW!' | | Strengths: Decodes just about any format! Great with music too. Easy to set up and SO easy to use. Quality sound.
| | Weaknesses: None I found. Nil. Nada. Rien. | | Overall: Automated set-up is so easy, leaving the Denon ready to perform ...... and boy does it perform! Absolutely amazing in every respect; good, clean sound with music and stunning with movies. |
