| 'Elegant, refined sound' | | Strengths:
Excellent stereo imagery, clarity and detail. Beautiful, sculpted cabinets, finished in Alder wood veneer. Novel mounting of base drivers which face sideways, allowing placement of speakers with base firing inwards for smaller rooms or outwards for larger rooms. Lack of rear ports also means that the speakers can be placed to within a foot of rear walls without bass distortion. | | Weaknesses:
Perhaps the bass could be a little more 'punchy'. Also, due to a manufacturing fault (use of water soluble adhesives) the mid-range drivers are prone to fail. This has been rectified with a non water soluble alternative and my drivers were replaced without charge - so I can justify calling the build quality 'truly excellent'. | | Overall:
I adore these speakers. Combined with my Arcam diva system (CD193 CD player and A90 Amp) they give me genuine joy, whenever I pour a glass of wine and just listen! |
