'IF MOVIE IS YOUR PRIORITY'
Strengths:
Exellent picture and build quality(except remote). Many OSD features to be fine-tuned up to individual taste.Try the Legato feature,it catched my attention.Front panel PURE AUDIO and SACD button very useful and functional.
Weaknesses:
Musically,it's a disappointment to me when playing CD and it's just lack of the sonic spark...I need to press stop button to set speaker mode from stereo to 5.1 while playing. Finally, the remote controller, the
luminant buttons light-up day and night because you will press it whether intentionally or not.The joystick can not accurately functioned with my thumb.Figure8 AC outlet needs adaptor for most UK's powercord with IEC.
Overall:
A 'Made in Malaysia' universal player,50% cheaper than UK version, with good audio and visual performance. Although it let me down on my CD collection but console with its SACD and DVD-A performances.
My system:Phillip 32LCD,Yamaha RX-V1400,Wharfedale Diamond 8.4,QED HDMI & speaker cables,Monster&Ixos interconnect.
