The Opus 21 cd inherits the strengths of the cd55: - (4) Burr Brown 24-bit convertors, still the best available - 16x digital filter upsamples to 705khz/24-bit data rate - Analog-domain volume control - 96 khz/24-bit digital input - External power supply with central display eliminates noise - Aluminium chassis avoids magnetic interference - Balanced and single-ended outputs which drive any power amplifier directly
